2. Types of Fire Extinguishers and Their Use

  • Water extinguishers: Used for Class A fires (combustible materials such as wood, paper, and textiles).
  • Foam extinguishers: Suitable for Class A and B fires (flammable liquids and solids).
  • CO2 extinguishers: Effective for electrical fires and flammable liquids (Class B and electrical).
  • Dry powder extinguishers: Used for Class A, B, and C fires (flammable gases).
  • Wet chemical extinguishers: Specifically for Class K fires (cooking oils and fats).

3. Hands-On Fire Extinguisher Practice

  • Evacuation procedures: how to assist with evacuations and guide employees to assembly points.
